With the fluted stainless wrap-around cowl, these motors define Mid-Century style. Nothing finishes off a classic runabout as much as a period-correct engine. This was a well designed engine, parts are readily available and it will run circles around contemporary competitors

This motor produces 50 horse power from the 4-cylinder 44 cubic inch Super Thunderbolt powerhead. It has 12 volt electric starting and an alternator to charge the boat's battery. This is the rare LONG SHAFT model for boats with a 20" transom

This motor is a great candidate for restoration. It is complete and has good compression. The prop and all castings are still in good shape with no cracks or breaks. To be show quality, the motor would have to be painted and detailed. Also, expect to do a thorough servicing including rebuilding the carburetors and fuel pump, replacing the impeller, fuel hoses, spark plugs and changing the gear case oil. (These items are all readily available from us and other sources)

We also can supply a new electrical harness and a remnaufactured single-lever remote control with new cables at extra cost
