Plymouth had already produced the Fury by this time and were making changes to the styling to reduce weight. The Barracuda was introduced a few weeks before the Mustang in 1964 but did not really have the muscle to compete until a redesign in 1967 which included the 383 engine V8 engine. As with other muscle cars of the period, the early 1970's emissions directive and safety regulations killed off the genre. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests with specification and technical data, driver's impressions, and history. Models include: Barracuda, 'Cuda, Satellite, VIP, GTX, Road Runner, Duster, Superbird, Sport Fury
